ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN)
This Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) is filed seeking production of the daughter of the writ petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the petitioner's daughter was a minor, she was lured into

a relationship by respondent No.4 and that she went missing from the residence of her uncle on 18.06.2026. It is further submitted that, though a crime has been registered, as evident from Annexure-B, the whereabouts of the petitioner's daughter are still not known.

Learned counsel for the writ petitioner also contends that the petitioner's daughter is suffering from psychological disturbances and had been undergoing treatment at Sridevi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Hospital, Tumakuru.

The learned State Public Prosecutor-I has placed on record a memo along with documents to show that the petitioner's daughter and respondent No.4 were married on 02.07.2026 under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and that she is residing with respondent No.4 at Pavagada. It is submitted that, since the enquiry has revealed that the petitioner's daughter and respondent No.4 are married, no further steps can be taken in the matter.

5. Having considered the contentions advanced, we notice that the petitioner's daughter is a major, aged beyond 18 years, and that the documents produced disclose that she is married to respondent No.4.
6. In the above view of the matter, we are of the opinion that no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) stands
