The petitioner seeks interest on account of delayed payment of the terminal dues of her deceased husband who was serving in a school and died-in-harness on 28th January, 2020. The e-Pension Payment Order was issued on 14th September, 2020. 3. According to the petitioner, there was a delay in issuance of the e- Pension Payment Order for which interest has not been paid. 4. It appears that the employee dies-in-harness. The death of the employee could not have been anticipated by the employer. After the employee dies-in-harness, it is obvious that some time will be required by the authority to prepare and comply with all formalities to make the pension file ready and issue Pension Payment order. 5. Moreover, in March, 2020 Covid struck and all activities came to a complete halt. Despite the same, the e-Pension Payment Order was issued on 14th September, 2020. 6. The Court is of the opinion that there is hardly any delay on the part of the authority in issuing the e-Pension Payment Order. The writ petition does not require any interference by the Court. Page 2 7. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 8.
