Learned AGA accepts notice for respondent 1 to 3. 2. Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: "a) To call for the records from the office of the Respondent No.1 to 3 authorities in respect of the representation made by the petitioners and villagers vide Annexure-A dated 25.02.2026. b) To issue a direction or order to Respondent No.1 to 3 authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2026 to install board of the new temple name vide Annexure-A. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010199672026 NC: 2026:KHC:38260 WP No. 9203 of 2026 c) To issue a Writ in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.1 to 3 authorities to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners and by giving direction or necessary steps to install new board of the temple; d) To pass such other relief/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstance of the case in the interest of justice and equity." 3. The name of the Muzrai Temple having been changed, the name board was not erected in front of the temple. In that background, the villagers including the petitioners had submitted a representation on 24.02.2026 at Annexure-A requesting respondent No.2 to erect such a board, with the changed name. 4. The said application not having been considered, the petitioners are before this Court seeking for the aforesaid relief. 5. Learned AGA on instructions submits that the change of the name of the temple has not been accepted by certain other villagers. It is further submitted that, in view of the prevailing law and order situation, the Tahsildar has requested police protection from the jurisdictional police - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010199672026 NC: 2026:KHC:38260 WP No. 9203 of 2026 and necessary action would be taken with police protection. 6. The said submission of Learned AGA answers the grievance of the petitioners. Accordingly respondent No.2-Tahsildar is directed to do the needful within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Petition stands disposed.
