1. Heard Mr. Ajeet Kumar Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. Saumya Rai, learned Deputy Government Advocate, appearing for the State/respondents.
2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers: ROHIT KUMAR CHANDRA Digitally signed by ROHIT KUMAR CHANDRA

“10.1 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to proceed for considering the request of petitioner for remission of sentence imposed upon the petitioner and premature release him in accordance with statutory provisions of Section 432 of CrPC Section 473 of the BNSS read with Rule 358 and 359 of the Rules, 1968. 10.2 That any other relief/ order which may deem fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case including award of the cost of the petition may be given.”
3. At the outset, learned State counsel submits that earlier the petitioner had not filed any formal application for remission, but during pendency of the present petition, the petitioner’s son has filed an application before the respondent No.4 for remission / premature release of the petitioner on 01.05.2026 and the President of Rotary Club of Bilaspur has already deposited the fine amount of Rs.3,000/- before the Superintendent, Central Jail, Bilaspur on 02.05.2026 and at present the said is under process and the same will be decided within a month.
4. In view of the aforesaid submission, the concerned department is
directed to decide the application dated 01.05.2026 submitted by the petitioner’s son for remission / premature release of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today.
