ORDER 21.09.2026
1. Vide order dated 20.12.2024, this Court in WP(C) 2976/2024 titled
“Mohd. Maqbool Malik & Ors. Vs. Union Territory of J&K & Ors.”,
directed the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners for grant of retrospective effect to their promotion as Section Officers and pass appropriate orders.
2. Compliance report stands filed, a perusal whereof reveals that after examination of the record and relevant rules, the committee has approved the proposal for antedating the promotional effect and recommended for retrospective effect to the promotion of the petitioners. The consequential benefits, including fixation of pay, pensionary benefits and arrears have also been regulated in accordance with the applicable rules by the competent authority.
3. Having regard to the compliance, since the aforesaid order stands complied with, present petition does not survive and consequently, contempt proceedings are closed.
