1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.
2. Matter is heard in presence of learned advocates representing the petitioners, State respondents and respondent nos. 8 and 9.
3. A case is made out in this writ petition seeking direction upon the police authorities to register FIR based on complaint lodged.
4. However, learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated July 20, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Bolpur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated July 20, 2026 is made over to the learned advocates representing petitioners and respondent nos. 8 and 9.
5. It is disclosed in the communication that based on complaint lodged, a criminal prosecution being Bolpur P.S. Case No. 317 of 2026 dated July 17,
2 2026 has been initiated by drawing an FIR under certain provisions of BNS.
6. In view of the steps taken by the concerned police authorities, grievance of the petitioners has been redressed. Hence, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition.
7. The writ petition stands disposed of.
