ORAL ORDER
This matter was referred to the mediation and the parties have arrived at a settlement and filed the memorandum of settlement under Section 89 of CPC read with Rules 24 and 25 of the Karnataka Civil Procedure (Mediation) Rules 2005.
2. In terms of the settlement, the matter is settled for an amount of Rs.4,00,000/-. The revision petitioner/accused has already deposited an amount of Rs.1,80,000/- before the Trial Court. The amount in deposit to the tune of Rs.1,80,000/- is payable in favour of the respondent/complainant, on proper identification and the revision petitioner has no objection for

the same. An amount of Rs.1,10,000/- was paid to the respondent on 21.07.2026 by way of online transfer and the same is acknowledged by the respondent. The remaining amount of Rs.1,10,000/- is payable to the respondent/complainant on or before 30.08.2026.
3. In view of the settlement arrived between the parties, subject to payment of Rs.1,10,000/- payable on 30.08.2026, this revision petition is disposed of by acquitting the accused for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
4. The petitioner is directed to pay an amount of Rs.5,000/- as imposed by the Trial Court within two weeks from today, if the same is deposited, produce the receipt before the Registry within one week thereafter. If the receipt is not produced, list the matter before this Court on 17.08.2026.
