28/07/2026 D/L – 296 Court No.35 S. Kundu C.R.M.(M) 1573 of 2026 In Re: An application for bail under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023. In connection with Chanditala P.S Case no. 113 of 2026 dated 14/02/2026 under sections 103(1)/61(2) of the BNS. In the matter of: Taffajul @ Tafajul Sk. …Petitioner. Mr. Mritunjoy Chatterjee Mr. Ravi Ranjan Kumar …for the petitioner. Mr. Gouranga Das Mr. Sanjib Das …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than five and half months and case has already been committed. Prosecution has relied upon 16 witnesses in order to prove its case. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the Court to the statements of some of the witnesses and submits that materials have been sent to the forensic laboratory. Having regard to the overall circumstances and the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1573 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage. 2 The petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the stage of consideration of charges are over. Memo of evidence filed by the State is taken on record. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
