The petitioner who is the Sabhapati of Suti –I Panchayat Samiti has assailed the notice issued by the Prescribed Authority on 13th July, 2026 fixing the date of meeting on 26th July, 2026 solely on the ground that the notice ought to have been issued in Form 2A of the West Bengal Panchayat (Constitution) Rules, 1975 instead of Form 1E of the Rules. This Court is informed that the meeting scheduled by the notice dated 13th July, 2026 has been cancelled. The notice has therefore become redundant. Nothing further remains to be dealt with in the writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. 2 There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
