Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for three years nine months and out of 27 witnesses, 16 witnesses have been examined. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the period of detention of the petitioner and in spite of the objection raised by the State, because of only period of detention of present petitioner, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties of

If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District Howrah without the prior permission of the learned Court and specify the jurisdiction of the police station where he would be staying to the learned Court before being released on bail. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1576 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of evidence filed by the State is taken on record.
