28.07.2026 Serial no. 282 [G.S.D] CRM (M) 1559 of 2026 In re : An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 in connection with Canning PS Case No. 179 of 2016 dated 22.03.2016 u/s 120B/363/366A/367/370/370A/372/376(2)(i) of the IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. -And- In the matter of : Mosaraf Laskar @ Raju … Petitioner(s) Mr. Deepak Prahladka Ms. Reshmi Khatun … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Amal Kumar Datta … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for nine years four months and similarly placed accused person has been granted bail in CRM (M) 1318 of 2026. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that the petitioner be extended the same benefit as was granted to Firoj Ali @ Babu @ Bablu in CRM (M) 1318 of 2026. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner [Mosaraf Laskar @ Raju] is Allowed. 2 The learned trial court would release the petitioner on bail on the same terms and conditions as was granted to Firoj Ali @ Babu @ Bablu in CRM (M) 1318 of 2026. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1559 of 2026 is allowed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
