28.07.2026 Serial no. 279 [G.S.D] CRM (M) 1556 of 2026 In re : An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 in connection with Sessions Case No. 186 of 2025 corresponding to GR No. 2749 of 2025 arising out of Uluberia PS Case No. 487 of 2025 dated 13.10.2025 u/s 179/180 of the BNS. -And- In the matter of : Sarauddin Sha @ Sahrauddin Sha &Anr. … Petitioner(s) Md. Wasim Akram … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Subrata Mukherjee … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for about eight months and the evidence of the prosecution’s witnesses has not commenced, although, charges have been framed. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the earlier order passed on 19.02.2026 and, I am of the view that there is hardly any change of circumstances since then. Having considered the same, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is Rejected. 2 However, the petitioners would renew their prayer for bail after the evidence of the seizure list witnesses is over. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1556 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
