29/07/2026 D/L – 60 Court No.35 S. Kundu Allowed C.R.M.(NDPS) 1442 of 2026 In Re: An application for bail under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023. In connection with Sonarpur P.S Case no. 1653 of 2025 dated 13/11/2025 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the NDPS Act. In the matter of: Mintu Chatterjee …Petitioner. Mr. Soumya Nag Mr. Rajdeep Sengupta Mr. Moyukh Majumder …for the petitioner. Mr. L. Vishal Kumar Mr. Sanjib Das …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the present case relates to alleged recovery of 21 kgs. of Ganja and the petitioner is similarly situated as other accused person who has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 859 of 2026. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail but, however, he is unable to refute the locus of the present petitioner with that of the accused who has been granted bail. In view of the aforesaid, the petitioner be extended the same benefit and be released on same terms and conditions which was imposed for release of Joydeep Halder in CRM (NDPS) 859 of 2026. Thus, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1442 of 2026 is allowed. 2 All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
