In connection with Chapra P.S Case no. 106 of 2026 dated 06/06/2026 under Sections 21(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. In the matter of: Suroj Sk @ Mintu …Petitioner. Mr. Abdul Aziz Mondal …for the petitioner. Mr. Shataroop Purkayashtha …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the present case relates to alleged recovery of 37 bottles of broncof syrup and the petitioner is in custody for more than five months. Charge sheet has already been submitted and the prosecution has relied upon 13 witnesses in order to prove its case. Learned advocate appearing for the State does not opposes the quantum of seizure and period of detention as well as the number of witnesses relied upon by the prosecution. Having regard to the overall circumstances and the fact that some time will be required to take the trial to its logical conclusion, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Thus, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. 2 Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of learned Judge, NDPS Act, Krishnagar, Nadia. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District Nadia without the prior permission of the learned Special Court. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1466 of 2026 is allowed. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
