Mr. D.S.Patni, learned Senior Counsel, assisted by Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Rajeev Singh Bisht, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 3. The petitioner has filed the instant Writ Petition with the following prayers:
“i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the oral rejection of the petitioner (as done by the Counselling Committee for the respondent no. 4 during the counselling held by it on 12.01.2026) from the office of the respondent no. 4 and quashing the name insofar as the rejection of the petitioner’s candidature is concerned. ii) Issue a writ, order or direction the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith consider the petitioner’s candidature for her selection in the selection process initiated by means of advertisement dated 07.11.2025 afresh and accordingly verify petitioner’s documents as per the original advertisement as well as the documents required as per amended instructions issued by respondent no. 4 on 11.01.2026 and to appoint her to the post of Assistant Teacher (primary) in the Aft Category (General Female Seat) with all consequential benefits, including back wages and seniority. (contained as annexure no.2 to the writ petition.) iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby restraining the respondents from filing at least one vacancy (of Assistant Teachers (Primary) Category-General (Arts) and to reserve one post of assistant Teacher (Primary) Category- General (Arts) for the petitioner till the pendency of the instant writ petition.”
4. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the advertisement issued on 07.11.2025 by the respondent no. 4, the petitioner being eligible applied for the post of Assistant Teacher (Primary) and her name was included in the merit list published by the

Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner appeared for documents verification on 12.01.2026 along with downloaded mark-sheet and certificate of D.El.Ed, as per the Uttarakhand Teachers Recruitment Rules and the advertisement dated 07.11.2025, however on 11.01.2026 a list of amended instructions were issued and on the basis of the said Counselling Committee rejected the petitioner’s candidature on the ground that the additional documents were not produced by her.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she submitted a representation on 16.01.2026 with the prayer that the new additional documents as required are available however no heed was paid on the said representation. He also refers to an order dated 23.01.2026 passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court in WPSS No. 145 of 2026, wherein in similar circumstances an opportunity was granted to the petitioner to produce the original certificates and the relevant documents before the respondents. 5. In the interest of justice, the petitioner is granted one more opportunity to produce the original certificates and the relevant documents before the respondent no.4. The petitioner shall appear before the respondent no.4 on 30.01.2026 at 11:00 A.M. along with original certificates and the other relevant documents, whereupon the respondents shall consider the petitioner’s candidature in accordance with law and if found in order and eligible, her name shall be included in the further selection process as per her merit and Recruitment Rules. 6.
