The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 read with Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 (corresponding Sections of Cr.P.C. are 438 and 482) for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.186 dated 31.07.2025 under Section 108 BNS (Section 61(2), 249, 253 BNS added later on) registered at Police Station Model Town, District Hoshiarpur. 2. This Court, vide order dated 10.02.2026, had directed the petitioner to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of their arrest, they were ordered to be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.). 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 10.02.2026 passed by the Court, the petitioner has joined and cooperated with the investigation. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Deepak Kumar states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation. 5. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the petition is allowed and the interim order dated 10.02.2026 is made ab- solute. The petitioner shall continue to join investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the condi- tions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
