Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was working under the respondent No.3/Municipal Corporation, Bilaspur and died in harness on 05/10/2020. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 16/12/2020 before the respondents authorities seeking appointment on compassionate ground. Learned counsel further submits that vide Annexure P-4 dated 29/09/2025, the respondent authority wrote a letter to the Joint Director, Urban Administration and Development, Bilaspur and forwarded the name of the petitioner along with other candidates who are eligible for appointment on compassionate ground. The petitioner repeatedly approached the respondent authorities to consider his application but no action has been taken till date.
3. Per contra, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that if the petitioner's representation is still pending
consideration, the same will be decided and an appropriate
order will be passed within a period of 45 days.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings and documents available on record.
5. Considering the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3/Municipal Corporation, Bilaspur to
3 consider and decide the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment dated 16/12/2020, by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
