The petitioner has 9led the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent authorities for release of his full pension and other retiral bene9ts, including leave encashment, gratuity, group insurance, etc., which, according to the petitioner, have not been released despite his superannuation on 30.06.2022. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was working in the Public Works Department and, upon attaining the age of superannuation, retired from service with e<ect from 30.06.2022 while working as In-charge Executive Engineer, Pendra road. It is submitted that after his retirement, the respondent authorities have sanctioned and released only 90% of the pension payable to him and the remaining pensionary bene9ts, including leave encashment, 3 gratuity and group insurance amount, have not been released. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has made several representations before the respondent authorities seeking release of his full pension as well as the other retiral dues, but despite the same, the bene9ts have not been released. It is, therefore, prayed that appropriate directions may be issued to the respondent authorities for release of the admissible pensionary and retiral bene9ts along with interest. 4. Learned State counsel, on the other hand, submits that the respondent authorities have already taken steps for processing the remaining pension-related bene9ts of the petitioner. In support of the submission, learned State counsel refers to the a?davit 9led by the Secretary, Public Works Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, in compliance with the order dated 28.07.2026. 5. Particular reliance has been placed upon paragraph 13 of the said a?davit, which reads as under: “That, 90% of the pension payable to the petitioner and the entire amount of GPF have already been 4 paid to the petitioner, which is also evident from the reply 9led by the answering State in the instant writ petition. It is further respectfully submitted that the remaining pension-related proceedings of the petitioner are under process and the same shall be duly culminated on or before 31.10.2026. In view of the aforesaid, it is most respectfully prayed that the Hon'ble Court may kindly take the aforesaid submission on record and grant appropriate time for completion of the remaining pension-related formalities.” 6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and having considered the pleadings as well as the aforesaid categorical submission made on behalf of the respondent authorities, this Court 9nds that 90% of the pension payable to the petitioner and the entire amount of GPF have already been released, whereas the remaining pension-related proceedings are stated to be under process. 7. In view of the undertaking made on behalf of the respondent authorities in paragraph 13 of the a?davit, the said submission is taken on record. The respondent authorities are directed to complete the remaining pension-related proceedings and formalities of the petitioner and bring the 5 same to their logical conclusion on or before 31.10.2026, as undertaken before this Court. 8. Needless to observe that while completing the aforesaid proceedings, the respondent authorities shall examine the entitlement of the petitioner to the remaining pensionary/retiral bene9ts, including leave encashment, gratuity, group insurance and other admissible dues, strictly in accordance with the applicable rules and shall release the amount, if found admissible, without any undue delay. 9. In view of the aforesaid directions and the undertaking given by the respondent authorities, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition. 10.
