Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about two years. Evidence of the victim is over. As such, the petitioner be released on bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that out of 14 witnesses, 6 witnesses have been examined. I have considered the evidence of the victim which implicates the present petitioner so far as the offence is concerned. Having considered the same and there are other witnesses to be examined. As a matter of last chance, prosecution has granted six months time to complete the rest of the witnesses. The petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid time period is over. 2 In the meantime, learned advocate for the State will communicate this order to the learned Special Court so that multiple schedules are fixed to take the trial to its logical conclusion. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1570 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
