Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the writ petitioner is taken on record. 2. Petitioner being son of one Zinat Bibi has approached this Court with this present writ petition, inter alia, praying for direction upon the concerned police authorities to provide protection as it is alleged in complaint dated 3rd February, 2023, addressed to Officer-in-Charge, Tiljala Police Station that said Zinat Bibi was being physically assaulted and threatened by her two other sons, namely, Abdul Kalam and Abdul Rashid. 3. Learned advocate representing State-Respondents has filed a communication dated 15th July, 2026, of Officer- in-Charge, Tiljala Police Station and same is taken on record. 4. Copies of the said communication dated 15th July, 2026, are made over to the learned advocates representing writ petitioner and respondent nos.6 and 7. 5. It is disclosed in the said communication that based on the complaint lodged against respondent nos.6 and 7 a criminal prosecution being Tiljala Police Station Case No.756 dated 29.11.2025 was initiated under certain provisions of BNS, 2023. Investigation in aforesaid criminal prosecution, as it is disclosed in the said communication, is complete and Investigating Officer shall file final report shortly. 6. Considering plight of mother of petitioner, as narrated in this writ petition, Officer-in-Charge, Tiljala Police Station, being respondent no.4, is directed to provide protection to the petitioner and his mother if they decide to reside at premises under jurisdiction of Tiljala Police Station, if occasion so arises. 7. With the aforesaid direction, the instant writ petition stands disposed of. 8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
