Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner is owner of two flats out of which one is provided to petitioner’s one son still there is another flat where petitioner can stay. However, allegation is made in this writ petition that due to registration of one flat out of two in favour of one son of the petitioner daughter and son-in-law of the petitioner are misbehaving with petitioner and petitioner is subjected to threat and ill treatment. 3. Prayer is made in this writ petition for giving direction upon the concerned police authorities which would permit the petitioner to stay at his own residence. 4. Respondent nos. 6 and 7 are represented by learned advocate. 2 5. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 29th July, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Narendrapur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copies of said communication are made over to the learned advocates representing petitioner and private respondents. 6. It is disclosed in the said communication that though alleged incident took place on 25th October, 2025 but complaint was lodged precisely eight months thereafter on 12th June, 2026. Since petitioner has two flats out of which one is provided to his son still petitioner has another flat where he can stay. 7. Police authorities are directed to provide necessary protection, if occasion so arises and in the event petitioner is subjected to threat and coercion. 8. Writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
