ORAL ORDER
1. Accused Nos.2 to 5 in Crime No.69/2025 registered by HAL Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 80, 85, 115(2) read with Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, are before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3.
FIR in Crime No.69/2025 was registered by HAL Police Station, Bengaluru, for the aforesaid offences against Pramod Kumar Samal

and others based on the first information dated 06.02.2025 received from Ananta Kishore Samal, father of deceased Subhashree Samal. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioners had filed Crl.Misc.No.8218/2025, which was dismissed by the jurisdictional Sessions Court on 07.11.2025. Therefore, they are before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that petitioner Nos.1 and 2 are the parents of accused No.1 and petitioner Nos.3 and 4 are the uncle and aunt of accused No.1. It appears that after accused No.1 had married deceased Subhashree Samal, the couple were living in Bengaluru. Petitioners herein are the residents of Jaipur in Orissa State. The incident in question had taken place in the house of accused No.1 at Bengaluru. Post mortem report of the deceased would go to show that death is due to asphyxia as a result of hanging. Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet has been filed. The allegations found in the first information as well as in the charge sheet as against the petitioners herein, who are the close relatives of accused No.1 are omnibus in nature. Under the circumstances, the following order:-
5. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioners in the event of their arrest in Crime No.69/2025

registered by HAL Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 80, 85, 115(2) read with Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, subject to the following conditions:
1.
The Petitioners shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. 2. Petitioners shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioners shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses and they shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
