The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS (erstwhile Section 438 of the Cr.P.C) by the petitioner for grant of pre-arrest bail as the petitioner has been implicated in criminal case arising out of First Information Report as detailed hereinunder:- FIR No. Dated Sections Police Station 53 23.02.2026 115(2), 74(2), 351(2), 61(2), 337, 79 of BNS (erstwhile Section 323, 354, 506, 120-B, 466, 509 of IPC) Phillaur, District Jalandhar Rural 2. Vide order dated 09.06.2026 passed by this Court, the petitioner was released on interim bail and was directed to join investigation. 3. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Paramjit Singh, 227/FGS states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. Opposing the prayer, he submits that the petitioner along with other co-accused entered into the house of respondent No.2 and outraged her modesty. 5. The allegations against the petitioner are subject matter of trial.
