1. The present MCC has been filed seeking extension of time to comply with the order dated 23.06.2026 passed by this Court in WPS No.3018/2026 (Ravindra Pratap Singh vs. South Eastern VISHAKHA BEOHAR Digitally signed by VISHAKHA BEOHAR
2 Coalfields Limited and Another).

Vide order dated 07.01.2026, this Hon’ble Court had directed the Applicants' organizationto consider and decide the Petitioner's claim/representation by passing a reasoned and speaking order strictly in accordance with law within a period of 30 days; however, despite lapse of considerable time, the respondents have failed to comply with the said order, and no decision has been communicated to the petitioner till date, which is arbitrary, illegal and in violation of the directions issued by this Hon’ble Court.
3. Learned counsel for the applicants submits that, pursuant to the
order dated 23.06.2026 passed by this Court in W.P.(S) No. 3018/2026, the applicants were required to consider and decide the petitioner’s representation within 30 days. It is submitted that some additional time is required for examination and verification of the documents submitted by the petitioner. The applicants, therefore, seek a reasonable extension of time to comply with the aforesaid order and decide the petitioner’s representation by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the non-applicant submits that the applicants have already failed to comply with the order of this Court within the stipulated period of 30 days and that no decision on the petitioner’s representation has been communicated till date. He, however, leaves the matter of grant of reasonable extension of time to the discretion of the Court, subject to a direction for expeditious compliance.

Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and the reasons assigned in the application, this Court is inclined to grant one final opportunity to the applicants to comply with the order dated 23.06.2026 passed in W.P.(S) No. 3018/2026. Accordingly, the time for compliance is extended by a period of 45 days from today. The applicants shall ensure that the petitioner’s representation is considered and decided by passing a reasoned and speaking order strictly in accordance with law within the aforesaid period.
6. It is made clear that no further extension of time shall be granted.
7. Accordingly, the present MCC is allowed. sd/-
