The primary grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of an application being made before the concerned SDO, death certificate recording the death of the mother of the petitioner has not yet been issued. Mr. Bhattacharjee, ld. AGP, submits on instruction, that the petitioner was directed to resubmit certain documents. Faced with such submission, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner 2 submits that certain documents have already been resubmitted immediately upon being communicated with the directions by the SDO. In view thereof, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the SDO, Jalpaiguri Sadar, being the 3rd respondent, to dispose of the application of the petitioner for registration of death of his mother as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the receipt of a server copy of this order. In case the said respondent requires any further document to be submitted by the petitioner, the petitioner shall comply with such request to enable the SDO to dispose of the application.
