27.07.2026 Serial no. 619 [G.S.D] CRM (A) 1845 of 2026 In re : An Application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023/under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C. in connection with NDPS Case No. 21 of 2026 arising out of Karimpur PS Case No. 237 of 2025 dated 28.10.2025 u/s 21(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. -And- In the matter of : Sahin Sk @ Papai Sekh @ Papai Sk. … Petitioner(s) Mr. Tapodip Gupta Ms. Usashi Chattopadhyay … for the petitioner(s) Ms. Shalini Baigari … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is similarly situated as Sajan Sk @ Sajahan Sk who has been granted bail in CRM (A) 1182 of 2026. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail but is unable to refute the contention as has been advanced by the petitioner. Since no seizure has been effected from the present petitioner and the fact that similarly placed accused person has been granted bail [Sajan Sk @ Sajahan Sk in CRM (A) 1182 of 2026], I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. 2 Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Allowed. Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner [Sahin Sk @ Papai Sekh @ Papai Sk.] be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer of the case and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. and/or under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. As charge-sheet has been submitted, this order of anticipatory bail will remain in force for a period of six weeks from date. Accordingly, CRM (A) 1845 of 2026 is disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.) 3
