1. Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent authorities, petitioner has approached this Court by way of instant Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of appropriate direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members, at the hands of respondent No.3. A further prayer has been made to decide the representation dated 08.04.2026 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 08.04.2026 (Annexure P-1) to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.2 and he shall be satisfied in case respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation dated 08.04.2026 (Annexure P-1) and take appropriate steps, in accordance with law.

4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. M.S. Bajwa, DAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 and 2.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the case file, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 08.04.2026 (Annexure P-1) and decide the same by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly as per law, within a period of two months from today.
