For the respondents : Nemo Romesh Verma, Judge (Oral): The present petition has been filed by the petitioner /claimant with the following prayer:- “It is therefore, respectfully prayed that this petition may very kindly be allowed and the learned Additional District Judge-2 Solan may kindly be directed to decide the claim petition of the petitioner i.e. Claim Petition No. 68/2018 titled as Lekh Ram Panwr vs. Rattan Lal Negi and others immediately without any further delay within one month in the interest of justice and fair play.” 2. It is averred in the instant petition that the petitioner met with an accident on 26.10.2016 and suffered 20% disability. Claim Petition No. 68 of 2018 was preferred by 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? -2- the present petitioner way back in the year 2018 and despite passing of eight years, the learned Additional District Judge-II (MACT-II), Solan has not taken the case to its logical end. In order to demonstrate the factual position, the petitioner has placed on record copies of zimini orders, which reveal, that issues in the case were framed on 29.04.2022 and thereafter, the evidence of the parties was closed on 17.10.2023. Thereafter, the case was posted for arguments and since 2023, the case is being taken up for arguments but till date, nothing has been done. 3. In the attending facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any view on the merits of the case, learned Additional District Judge-II (MACT-II), Solan is directed to expedite the Claim Petition No. 68 of 2018 and to take the same to its logical end, preferably within two months from today. 4.
