Learned counsel for respondent is absent. 2. Heard the arguments of learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. This transfer petition is filed by wife for transfer of M.C. No.41/2025 filed by husband for divorce before the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC., Arakalgudu, Hassan to I Additional Family Court at Mysuru. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010814482025 NC: 2026:KHC:36060 CP No. 438 of 2025 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the petitioner-wife is residing in Mysuru along with her parents and also minor child aged 5 years, who is studying in UKG at Mysuru. Respondent is presently working in Bengaluru but he initiated proceedings before Arakalagudu only to trouble her. The wife filed Crl.Mis.No.914/2025 for maintenance before the I Addl. Principal Family Court at Mysuru. The distance between both the places is 100 kilometres. She also gave complaint against the husband before Konanur police station on 23.08.2025 and also before Arakalagudu Town police station on the same day. They advised her to file a case before the Court. She has no independent source of income. As such, it is difficult for her to travel all the way to Arakalagudu and thus, requested for transfer of petition. 5. It is further stated that the respondent is also staying in Bengaluru and not in Arakalagudu. The distance between Mysuru and the said place is 100 kilometres. She is staying with her minor child aged 5 years at Mysuru and she has also filed Crl.Mis.No.914/2025 in Mysuru. - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010814482025 NC: 2026:KHC:36060 CP No. 438 of 2025 6. Considering the reasons stated by the learned counsel for petitioner, this Court finds it reasonable to transfer M.C. No.41/2025 from the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC., Arakalgudu, Hassan to I Additional Family Court at Mysuru. Ordered accordingly. 7. In the result, the petition is allowed.
