Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the

2 Panchayat has failed to take action against respondent No. 7 as directed in W.P.C. No. 2208/2026. It is further submitted that the petitioner filed representations dated 11.05.2026 and 12.06.2026, requesting the competent authority to take necessary action against respondent No. 7 within a period of one month. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, it is contended that the respondents have committed contempt of the order passed by this Court.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. It appears from the order passed by this Court in W.P.C. No. 2208/2026 that although a direction was issued to the Janpad Panchayat to consider the complaint submitted by the petitioner against the Sarpanch and pass an appropriate
order within a reasonable period, no specific time limit was prescribed by this Court for compliance with the said direction.
4. In view of the aforesaid, no case of wilful disobedience of the
order of this Court is made out so as to constitute civil contempt. Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands
disposed of.

5. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the competent authority by submitting a fresh representation along with a copy of the order passed by this Court in W.P.C. No. 2208/2026. If the complaint of the petitioner is not considered and decided within a reasonable period thereafter, it shall be open to the petitioner to avail such remedy as may be available to him in accordance with law, including approaching the appropriate forum at the appropriate stage.
