Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.0012 of 2026 under Sections 126(2), 351(3), 75(1)(iv) of BNS and Section 11(i), 11(iv) and 12 of POCSO Act, registered at Police Station- Khanpur, District Haridwar, on the ground of amicable settlement entered into between the parties. 3. Compounding application (IA/2/2026) is also filed in the matter wherein it is prayed to compound the offence between the parties under Sections 126(2), 351(3), 75(1)(iv) of BNS and Section 11(i), 11(iv) and 12 of POCSO Act. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have amicably settled their dispute and have entered into a compromise. 5. Parties are present before this Court and are duly identified by their respective counsel. Parties have also filed their respective affidavits stating the facts of compromise between them. 6. Learned State Counsel has formerly objected to the compounding application. 7. Parties have settled the dispute. The dispute is private in nature. If the proceedings are allowed to continue, it would not bring any harmony and perhaps it would not yield any result. The chances of conviction would be much bleak. Therefore, based on this compromise, the FIR deserves to be quashed qua the petitioner. 8. Accordingly, the instant petition is allowed. FIR No. 0012 of 2026 under Sections 126(2), 351(3), 75(1)(iv) of BNS and Section 11(i), 11(iv) and 12 of POCSO Act, registered at Police Station- Khanpur, District Haridwar is quashed qua the petitioner. 9.
