for compensation of Rs.8,00,000/-. The Tribunal considering the entire evidence on record granted an amount of Rs.1,67,000/- with interest at the rate of 9% p.a., from the date of filing the petition till the date of realization. 4. Aggrieved by the said order, this appeal is filed and mainly contended that the petitioner/injured was pursuing B.Com and also doing a part time job as a salesman in mobile store, earning Rs.4,000/- per month. The petitioner sustained grievous injuries. The Tribunal granted meager amounts under the other heads. PW.3-doctor stated that the petitioner/injured required Rs.1,00,000/- towards future medical expenses. But the amount granted by the Tribunal is on the lower side. Therefore, requested for enhancement of the compensation. 5. Though the petitioner stated that he was earning Rs.4,000/- per month, he has not filed any income proof. As he met with an accident in the year 2013, his notional income is to be taken as Rs.8,000/- per month, as per the chart prepared by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority. The petitioner was aged 18 years and the relevant multiplier is '18'. The petitioner/injured filed wound certificate under Ex.P.4, case

As per the X-ray, there is kyphosis at L1 with vertebral compression and the doctor opined that there is permanent partial disability to whole body is 15%.
The doctor also suggested that spine stabilization and fusion to correct deformity and relieve pain, it costs Rs.1,00,000/-. 6. (8,000x12x18x10%). This Court also finds it reasonable to grant an amount of Rs.60,000/- towards pain and suffering, Rs.30,000/- towards loss of amenities and Rs.40,000/- towards transportation, extra nourishment and attendant charges. The petitioner might not have done any other work at least for a period of four months, due to the injuries sustained in the accident. Therefore, a sum of Rs.32,000/- (8,000 × 4) is to be awarded under the head of loss of income during the laid-up period. PW.3-doctor specifically stated that the petitioner requires another surgery for spine stabilization and estimated the cost as Rs.1,00,000/-. Therefore, this Court finds it reasonable to grant an amount of Rs.75,000/- towards future medical expenses. The Tribunal has already granted Rs.17,000/- towards medical expenses and the said amount is confirmed. 7. Thus in all, compensation awarded by this Court is as below:
