Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent to release the retiral dues including payment of leave encashment, other dues along with interest @ 18% w.e.f. the date of retirement till the actual date of payment which have been withheld by the respondents for a period of more than eleven years of the retirement of the petitioner on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.07.2015. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment dated 09.09.2025 (Annexure P-3) of this Court in CWP-12221 of 2020 – Suman Kumar v. The Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited and another, which has been implemented by the respondent vide order dated RAVINDER SINGH 2026.07.17 16:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment 2 CWP-21652 of 2026 06.11.2025 (Annexure P-4). Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has also served legal notice dated 12.05.2026 (Annexure P-5) to the respondent which is still pending consideration. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondent to consider and decide the said legal notice, by passing a speaking order, in a time bound manner. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. Abhilaksh Gaind, Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case. 6. Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and decide legal notice dated 12.05.2026 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in light of the judgment referred to above.
