JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer:- "The petitioner, therefore, most humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction: a) Quashing the ECIR bearing No.ECIR/CEZO- II/24/2022 dated 29.04.2026 registered in the year 2022 by the Respondents under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 as evident from Annexure 'C'. b) Quashing the impugned vague, inexplicit and unambiguous summons dated 29.04.2026 - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010421502026 NC: 2026:KHC:37251 WP No. 19248 of 2026 bearing No.PMLA/SUMMON/CEZO-II/2026/1843 issued by the 1st respondent under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 which is at Annexure 'D' and c) Pass any other orders that this Court deems fit, in the interest of justice." 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there is a haze with regard to summons being issued on what predicate offence. 3. The submission is refuted by the learned counsel Sri.Madhu.N.Rao representing the Enforcement Directorate, on the score that the predicate offences are all registered in the jurisdictional Court at Chennai. The petitioner secured a transit bail in the jurisdictional Court at Bengaluru to appear before the Chennai Court. The petitioner appears and seeks anticipatory bail which comes to be rejected. In the light of the said circumstance, the counsel for the petitioner would now agree that he would avail the remedy before the Courts at Chennai. Reserving such liberty, petition stands disposed of.
