C.R.M. (M) 1533 of 2026
In Re: An application for bail under section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Saktipur Police Station Case No.102 of 2023 dated 13th May, 2023 under Sections 363/365/34/376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code 1860 and under Section 6 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012;
Raj Sk @ Ibrahim Sk Versus The State of West Bengal & Anr.
Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Avik Ghosh Ms. Ankusha Ghosh. ...for the petitioner.
Mr. Gouranga Kr. Das Mr. Amartya Mohan Bhattacharyya. …for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 6 months and there was a relationship existing between the petitioner and the victim.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner, I direct that the petitioner be well advised to approach this Court after the evidence of the victim is over. Learned trial court would overcome the stage of consideration of charges on the next date or within a week thereafter and within 45 days thereafter complete the evidence of the victim. At this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
