24.07.2026 Item no. 22 Ct. No.237 AKG
C.R.R. 2704 of 2026 Aritra Kumar Ghosh Vs. The State of West Bengal & Anr.
Mr. Surajit Dutta
……for the Petitioner
Mr. Subir Ganguly, Mr. Sandeep Prasad Shaw …for the State
The petitioner seeks expeditious hearing of Alipore ACJM Case No. SC 10 (05) of 2026, pending before the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, 10th Court at Alipore, arising out of Parnashree Police Station Case No. 26 dated May 22, 2026 registered under Sections 103 (1)/309 (4) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. It appears that the charge sheet, in this case, was filed on April 9, 2026. Learned Trial Court fixed on June 24, 2026, for production of the accused and hearing of charge. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner cannot tell before this Court what happened on June 24, 2026. In view of the above, I do not find any inordinate delay in proceedings with the trial. No direction is called for to expedite the disposal of the trial. Accordingly, 2704 of 2026 is dismissed.
