SMT. PARSI HEMBRAM VS THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL & ORS.
Mr. Milan Kumar Maity, Advocate ……for the Petitioner Mr. Atanu Basu, Advocate Mr. Antariksha Karmakar, Advocate ……for the State
1. The petitioner is aggrieved with her transfer as a Warden from Purulia to Bankura. The petitioner's tenure at Purulia has already come to an end on 30.06.2026, which entails that the petitioner can be transferred as a Hostel Warden to any other district.
2. Accordingly, the petitioner has been transferred to Bankura.
3. The petitioner is unwilling to take up this post as she has two children.
4. There is absolutely no right disclosed or argued that the petitioner should be retained in her present place of posting, Bankura. The petitioner also submits that the order of transfer had not been handed over nor addressed to the petitioner.
5. However, the petitioner has knowledge of the transfer order dated 06.01.2026, which has been annexed to the writ-petition.
6. There is absolutely no reason to interfere or stall the transfer of the petitioner.
7. With the afore-stated directions, the writ-petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
