Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that there were earlier direction to complete the prosecution witness but till date the trial is continuing. As such, petitioner may be released on bail. Learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that prosecution has completed all its witnesses, examination of the accused persons under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. has been completed. Now the stage is for examination of the defence witnesses. Reference has been made that on the ground of production of the defence witnesses time is being consumed by the accused persons. Having regard to the very advance stage of the trial, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1497 of 2026 is dismissed.
2 All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
