The petition is filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondent to extend the medical facilities on par with the permanent employees working in the respondent company as per the wage settlement dated 29th May 2019, a true copy of which is produced and marked as Annexure-G and the representation dated 03.06.2025, a true copy of which is produced and marked as Annexure-F, to both the workmen who are working in the canteen at BEML Mysore complex and the canteen workmen, being the concerned workman in Ref.No.107/2001 and those who have retired from the services of the respondent company, since not extending the medical facilities by the respondent is unjust, arbitrary and violative of article of 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010652412025 NC: 2026:KHC:37698 WP No. 30318 of 2025 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the papers with care. 4. The issue falls within a narrow compass and relates to the consideration of the representation submitted by the petitioner at Annexure-F. Hence, petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation at Annexure-F in accordance with law within four weeks from the receipt of certified copy of this order. Lastly, counsel for the petitioner submitted that pursuant to the filing of the writ petition, further developments are taken place, hence, the petitioner may be permitted to put forth their request by filing additional representation. Submission is noted. If the petitioner has any further request, they are at liberty to put forth their grievance and request by filing their representation.
