The Petitioner was appointed as an Assistant Mechanic on 18.06.1991 at Podili Depot and thereafter promoted as a DC- Electrician Grade-I on 11.10.1997. The next available promotion for the Petitioner is 'Leading Hand'. 3. The grievance of the Petitioner now is that though the Petitioner is eligible for being appointed to the post of Leading Hand, the same is not being considered by the Respondent Authorities, and that persons who were juniors to the Petitioner were promoted. 4. Sri A. Rama Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for Respondent Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5, on instructions, would submit that the case of the Petitioner would be considered for promotion to the post of Leading Hand in accordance with eligibility and seniority. 5.
