The short grievance of the petitioner, as projected in the instant, petition is that he came to be promoted on an in-charge basis as Assistant Registrar, Handloom, against an available vacant post and was directed to look after the charge of the said vacant post. It is projected that the petitioner continued to discharge the duties of the said post for more than two years, however, he was neither granted the charge allowance as admissible under the rules, nor did the respondents take any steps to formally promote him against the post of Assistant Registrar, Handloom. 2. It is further contended that the petitioner retired on attaining the age of superannuation in October, 2022 while working on the said post, without being granted the benefit of regular promotion to the post of Assistant Registrar, which has consequently deprived him of the corresponding post- retiral benefits. 3. Having regard to the short controversy involved in the instant petition, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of the petition at this stage, as such, on asking of the Court, Mr. Faheem Nisar Shah appears on behalf of the respondents. 4. Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to effectively consider the claim of the petitioner, as is projected in the instant petition, and take a decision thereon in accordance with law within a period of six weeks, which period shall begin from the date a copy of this order is served upon the respondents. 5.
