Hasan, learned counsel for the petitioner and also heard Mr. P. Borhakur, learned Addl. P.P. for the State. 2. In this petition under Section 483 BNSS, the accused-petitioner, namely, Ramjan Ali, who was arrested on 10.02.2026 in connection with Noonmati P.S. Case No. 08/2026 under Section 305(c) of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, is seeking bail. 3. As per the FIR, upon receipt of prior information Noonmati police conducted search operation around Mathgharia area and intercepted the auto of the petitioner bearing Registration No. AS-01-EC-7201 where from five plastic Page No.# 2/2 drums filled with suspected diesel were recovered. Subsequently, 36 plastic drums were recovered from two other vehicles which were found in abandoned condition. 4. It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a young person aged 19 years and has no criminal antecedent and the articles have also been recovered and having regard to the period of detention of 28 days, the petitioner may be released on bail, especially, as he has to look after his mother who is all alone. 5. It is further submitted that under similar circumstances involving theft of oil, the accused therein was granted bail after 29 days in custody by the High Court in Bail Appln No. 3722/2025 by order dated 05.12.2025, a copy of which has been placed before the court. 6. Having regard to the above, the prayer for bail is allowed. 7. The accused-petitioner, Ramjan Ali, shall be released on bail of Rs.50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand) with two sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of learned trial Court in connection with the aforesaid case. 8. It is further directed that the petitioner shall co-operate with the investigation and shall not try to hamper the investigation or temper with the evidence or try to influence any witnesses connected with the case. 9.
