Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pradeep Kumar Maurya, learned counsel for the respondent nos.1 & 2. 2. Petitioner by means of the present writ petition has assailed the order dated 07.02.2026 by which the passport of the petitioner has been impounded. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that there is statutory remedy of filing an appeal under Section 11 of the Passport Act, 1967 against the order impounding passport. 4. Since there is remedy of filing an appeal against the order impounding passport, we dismiss the writ petition on the ground of alternative remedy. 5. In case the petitioner prefers an appeal within a period of one month from today, the Appellate Authority shall consider and decide the same on merits without entering into the question of limitation.
