Petitioner has approached this Court, inter alia, for issuance of a writ of mandamus for directing respondents to permit him to participate in JAC Chandigarh B.Tech/B.Arch Counselling-2026 and to consider his candidature for admission to B.Arch course for session 2026-27. 2. As per petitioner's own showing, result of 6th semester of qualifying examination was declared after the cut off date for registration for admission to B.Tech/B.Arch. Therefore, petitioner was not eligible to apply during counselling schedule starting from 14.05.2026. 3. On advance notice, Mr. Varun Sandhu, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.1 and 3 to 5. He submits that under Regulation No.4.11.1, fresh registrations would be allowed during special round of counselling and petitioner can apply for special round of counselling, if held, subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions. 5. In view of the statement given by counsel for respondents No.1 and 3 to 5, counsel for the petitioner seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the writ petition. 6. Dismissed as withdrawn.
