1. By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking grant of parole for a period of 8 weeks on the ground of filing of SLP before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
2. Issue notice. The learned ASC (Criminal) accepts notice on behalf of the State.
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the present petitioner had filed an application for grant of parole before the Competent Authority on 22.01.2026, on the ground of filing of SLP before the Hon’ble Supreme Court and to engage legal counsel to represent him therein. However, the said application has still not been decided.
4. In view of the above, it is specifically directed that considering the
facts of this case, the present writ petition be treated as representation on This is a digitally signed order. behalf of the petitioner for grant of parole on the ground mentioned in the present petition and the Competent Authority shall decide the same, within a period of 03 weeks from date, under intimation to the petitioner herein.

6. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
7. It is clarified that in case petitioner’s application is not decided by the Competent Authority within the stipulated time, the petitioner will be at liberty to file the writ petition afresh before this Court.
