Roychoudhury, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Ms. N. Bordoloi, the learned counsel appears on behalf of the Revenue Department and Mr. B. J. Talukdar, the learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr. P. K. Medhi, the learned counsel appears on behalf of the District Administration. 2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner apprehending that the respondent authorities may evict the petitioner from his patta land in the process of evicting others from the Government lands. 3. Mr. B. J. Talukdar, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the District Administration submitted that if any eviction proceedings is conducted under Rule 18 of the Settlement Rules framed under the Assam Land and Revenue Regulation, 1886, the same could be only done upon the Government lands and not on patta lands. 4. Taking into account the above, the apprehension of the petitioner to approach this Court appears to be misconceived. Page No.# 3/3 5. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands closed. 6.
