In terms of order dated 11.02.2026 passed by this Court, the present appeal was referred to mediation. 2. Report of the learned Mediator has been received. As per report dated 25.03.2026 framed by the learned Mediator, respondent No. 3- Insurance Company has offered enhancement of Rs. 02.00 Lacs, which has been accepted by the appellant. 3. Today, learned counsel for the parties have appeared before the Court and they have reiterated the terms of aforesaid settlement that has been arrived at between the parties before the learned Mediator. 4. In view of the above, the impugned award dated 24.10.2025, whereby an amount of Rs. 04.00 Lacs along with interest at the rate of 7.5 percent per annum from the date of institution of claim petition till realisation of the awarded amount has been awarded, is modified by directing that the appellant shall be entitled to compensation in the amount of Rs. 06.00 Lacs instead of Rs. 04.00 Lacs. In case, the Serial No. 128 2 Mac App No. 123/2025 amount of modified award is paid by the respondent insurer within two months from today, the same shall not carry any interest. In default, the respondent insurer shall be liable to pay interest at the rate of 7.5 percent per annum on the modified award. The other terms of the award dated 24.10.2025 shall remain unaltered. 5.
