Respondent/s ====================================================== Appearance : For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Manoj Kumar Manoj, Advocate For the State : Mr. Shankar Kumar Thakur, AC to GP 27 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE HARISH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 3 17-08-2026 Heard learned Advocate for the respective parties. 2. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking Patna High Court CWJC No.1242 of 2026(3) dt.17-08-2026 2/3 a direction upon the respondents to ensure payment of salary to the petitioners from October 1995, which has been withheld in the name of verification in the light of letter No.1361 dated 18.06.1996 issued by the respondent No.5 addressed to respondent No.2, but till date nothing has been done and the petitioners have been deprived from their salary. 3. At the outset, learned Advocate for the State refuting the prayer of the petitioners has submitted that since the name of the petitioners did not find place in the list of the teachers, the copy of which is marked as Annexure A to the counter-affidavit, hence in no circumstances, the petitioners are entitled; besides, there is nothing on record which suggest that the petitioners have been discharging their duties as teachers. He further submits that infact the Annexure A is nothing but a verification report which has been issued in the light of letter No.1361 dated 18.06.1996. 4. At this juncture learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that identically situated persons have approached this Court and in their cases, they have been extended the liberty to file representation. 5. Having considered the rival submissions advanced by learned Advocate for the respective parties, without entering Patna High Court CWJC No.1242 of 2026(3) dt.17-08-2026 3/3 into the merit of this case, the petitioners are also extended liberty to approach before the concerned authority for redressal of the grievance. Since the petitioners have already filed detailed representation before the Director Primary Education, the copy of which is marked as Annexure 8 and 8/1 to the writ petition, it is expected that the same must be brought to its logical conclusion expeditiously. 6. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of. Utkarsh.k/- (Harish Kumar, J) U
