Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for more than fifty days and according to the learned Advocate for the petitioner he being the peoples’ representative has been foisted with number of cases after the change of administration. 2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that there are number of criminal cases against this accused and at the relevant point of time 2 when the incident took place the complainant could not gather the courage to inform the incident. 3. Be that as it may I have taken into account the incident which of November 2025. The investigation of the case is in progress. Petitioner has suffered custody in course of investigation for substantial number of days. As such without entering into the merits of the case I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 4. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner, namely, Chanchal Kumar Khanra shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate,Tamluk. 5. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date before the learned Trial Court and shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once in a week till waived by the learned CJM, Tamluk. 6. If there are any violation of the conditions and there are accusations that the petitioner is exerting his influence in that case the learned CJM, Tamluk would be at liberty to cancel the bail without further reference. 7. With the aforesaid observation, C.R.M (M) 1467 of 2026 is allowed. 8. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the Official website of this Court. 3 9. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
