Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 44 days. The case is based on documents. There is no possibility of further search and seizure. As such, the petitioner be released on bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the fact that the petitioner was shown arrested on 10.06.2026 and since then he is in custody. I have taken into account the foundation and basis of the case and the materials which have been collected by the Investigating Officer. 2 Having considered the overall circumstances, I am of the view that the petitioner shall be released on bail on stringent conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Tamluk, Purba Medinipur. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District Purba Medinipur without the prior permission of the learned Court. Additionally, the petitioner would, after his release on bail meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once a week till submission of charge sheet. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1519 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of evidence filed by the State is taken on record.
